Kick Back, Foreshore & our debut release ‘Genesis’!

Hey Fam!
FIRSTLY, welcome to the brand new site – www.rawcityrukus.com! Its only fresh at the moment, but feel free to have a look around, leave us some comments and share it with your friends.

IT might seem that we have been a bit quiet the last few months, let me just assure you we have been working our arses off in the studio with D’Opus putting together our first release ‘Genesis’. This is a 6 track EP (featuring a couple of super talented guests) which we will be dropping early in the new year, complete with a big launch party & a new range of merch! It was our intention to have it ready by the end of 2011 but things took a little longer than we anticipated and we want to get it sounding as good as we can get it, before it hits your playlists. The first single we will be releasing of the EP is called ‘Kick Back’. This tune will be up on our Soundcloud (www.soundcloud.com/raw-city-rukus) within the next couple of days and then for FREE DOWNLOAD at our Triple J unearthed site (www.triplejunearthed.com/rawcityrukus) shortly after. Just in time for you to learn the words to sing along at Foreshore!

DURING our recording process, we have been lucky enough to have the talented Shane Parsons following us around with his video camera documenting the whole thing. He is putting together a couple of short videos to give you guys a taste of what’s to come and to get to know us a little better. The first instalment will be up for viewing real soon – so hold tight!

FORESHORE is less than a week away and man are we excited! We’ll be rocking out on the Kicks Stage right before the legends Salt n Pepa! We’ve got a massive set planned, with stuff from our upcoming EP, older stuff you may know, and a sneaky little cover! So if you see us walking around on the day come up and say hey, & be (fore)shore to check us out – 2pm @ the Kicks Stage!
